Journey receives 11 D.I.C.E nominations

Sixty-three games received nominations from the annual D.I.C.E. Awards. Thatgamecompany’s game Journey leads the pack with an outstanding 11 nominations, including Game of the Year. Other game of the year nominees include: Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3, The Walking Dead, and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Like journey, several games earned multiple nominations. The Walking Dead gets an ego boost with eight nominations, followed by Far Cry 3 with seven nominations. Halo 4′s “master chief” gains six more nominations, and five nominations get handed out to both Borderlands 2 and Dishonored.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, February 7th at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas during the 2013 D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit (#DICE2013). The AIAS, in collaboration with media partner Variety, will live stream the Awards on Machinima in its entirety at 7:30pm PT / 10:30pm ET.
